The drive train on our 2005 robot was designed with enough ground clearance to drive over the edge of the goal while scoring. This strategy helped our team during the competition season, as it made it harder for other robots to push us out of the way while we attempted to score. But out elevated ground clearance of two inches also gave us another another cool side effect: our robot could drive into a goal if there weren't any tetras on top of it. During at least two matches during the competition season, we used this strategy to be able to have all three robots from our alliance make it back to the home row at the end of the game for a 10-point bonus.
