Here's the back of the tri-wheel assembly from our 2004 robot. As one can see in the picture, we had a small sun gear and large planetary gears on our wheel carries - this was backwards to what it should have been to work correctly. (At the time, we did not know this because we couldn't find enough technical information about the tri-wheel idea on the Internet.)
