Our "Fire and Water do Mix" banners revolved around our creation of our sister team, Max 1071 in 2003. From 1999 until 2002, Wolcott High School was part of team 228; in the 2003 season they had enough support at their high school to form their own team. Their team name of "Max" was taken from Team 228's 1999 robot name: Augustus Robotics Maximus - the source of both "Gus" and "Max".
