Photo: Sheet metal robot chassis

For the first time since the 2002 season, our team chose not to use 80/20 as our choice material to fabricate the frame out of. Besides being several pounds lighter, the custom frame allows us to save several pounds from other components such as the elimination of pillow blocks. Team 228 like to thank R&D Precision for their generous donation of the CNC services to fabricate two complete robot frames to out team!
