Here's one of our semi-completed custom machined aluminum wheels for the robot. Originally a huge block of round-stock aluminum with twelve holes drilled through it, we then machined it down into a smaller piece and then milled the pockets into the sides of it. Coming up next: machine the outer diameter of the wheel down to 5.500 inches, mill the pocket for the the roughtop treading, and finally broach the axle hole.
