It was Gus 6's last public appearance, as the drizzly rain put Gus 6 into permanent retirement soon thereafter. Although it was not raining very hard, the constant drizzly rain had found it's way into the transmissions of the robot, and the steel gears had rusted together after the parade was over. Eventually, over the next two build seasons Gus 6 would be slowly stripped of parts until nothing remained of the robot, except a few small mechanisms and components from the robot.
