Here's Gus 7 in the pits of the Championship Event. Although for the most part the robot was quite rock solid with everything functioning perfectly from the UTC New England Regional, we did do some slight work on the robot in the pits at the Championship Event. One of the major modifications we did was to add a second 80/20 rail above the outer two than run the length of the robot. After we did this, we would remove the front 1/8" support bracket, as the additional 80/20 member would stiffen the frame up to the point that it would no longer be needed. In addition to stiffening up the frame, the additional pieces of 80/20 also stiffened up the four diagonal braces on the robot, which made the center elevator extremely solid. (At the UTC Regional, there was a very slight amount of play when the arm and elevator were fully extended, but this was minimal and fixed by the addition of the extra piece of 80/20.
