Photo: Pneumatic solenoid
The completed pneumatics system for powering the two cylinders on the robot arm. Eventually a Lexan shield would be put around these cylinders to protect them from damage. Note the pneumatic hoses: to make the arm on the robot look better, as well as reduce the risk of exposed pneumatic tubing becoming entangled with another robot, we ran the hoses through the PVC arm of the robot.
