Since we wanted to run as few wires and hoses as possible up our elevator, we mounted the two pneumatic solenoids for are tetra manipulator on the joint of our arm. This way, we only needed to run a single air hose up to the joint. The second hose was merely a protective cover for the wires to control the solenoids. (If you look below the right hand solenoid, you can see the electrical wires emerging from the second air hose.)
