Photo Galleries

If a picture is worth a thousand words, entire encyclopedias can be filled from our photo galleries. At Team 228, we like to document practically everything we do, and not only to post as pictures on our website. As FIRST continues to grow and expand every year, new students come and graduate, mentors come and retire, and documenting our team's history, events, and robots becomes ever increasingly paramount.

Whether you're looking for technical photos of our various robot transmissions, or social photos of our team members promoting FIRST in the community, our custom student-designed photo galleries make it easy and fun.

About FIRST

FIRST was founded in 1989 by the renowned inventor Dean Kamen. The aim of FIRST is to inspire students to careers in math, science, and technology through a fun and engaging robotics competition, which provides students with the ability to meet one-on-one with industry leaders and engineers.

The initial FIRST Robotics Competition comprised of 28 teams competiting in a New Hampshire high school gymnasium. The ensuing years brought rapid growth to the program, to include over 30,000 students, 1,300 teams from 7 countries, competing at 37 Regional Events, culminating with the World Championship Event in Atlanta, Georgia.
