Savage Soccer South of the Border 2009

December 12, 2009

Techno music was streaming through the air, cheers were erupting from the crowd, and four robots were racing around a field. This was the scene during the finals match at the second annual Savage Soccer South of the Border event hosted by Team 228, Gus. In attendance, there was 12 diverse teams; one from a Boston, one made up of 6th graders from local middle schools, and many others comprised of enthusiastic students. The event was a great success for all who competed or spectated. Congrats to Team Arnold Palmer Light and Team LOLephants for your win. Gus plans on holding the event again next year and anyone with a robot designed for the game is encouraged to come!
