Savage Soccer at WPI 2009

The 13th Savage Soccer competition held at WPI was very successful for Team 228 and the four mini-teams it produced. After the qualifying rounds, all four teams were in the the top 16 out of 50 teams there, two being in the top 8. One of the teams, The LOLephants, were finalists in the competition, coming in second place. Another team, Arnold Palmer Lite, won the Terrific Teamwork award, which was voted on by all the other teams. This team also was ranked in third place after the qualifying rounds and had the high score of 154. The almost all girls team, except for one Mann, The Dino-bots, took home the Team Spirit award from WPI for their contagious enthusiasm. Our last team, entitled, Don't Worry About It, lived up to their name by ranking 8th after the qualification rounds.

Gus is now looking forward to our Savage Soccer competition, Savage Soccer South of the Border, which we will be hosting on December 12th, at Maloney High School in Meriden, CT.
