Upcoming Competition :: Hartford!

With less than a week to go until our first competition of 2005, there is a lot going on at Gus Robotics. Our pep club is getting ready, making banners and hundreds of buttons to hand out; construction of our new robot cart is progressing (this year it uses a powered scissor lift to raise/lower the robot!); and our website is going under yet another revision (now our website automagically resizes itself to best fit your screen so you don't have to scroll sideways!). Also, because of an email from Gus, WPLR-FM 99.1 ("Connecticut's Rock Station") will be sending Billy from their morning show from the Hartford Regional on Friday, March 11, 2005 to do interviews!

›› Experience FIRST! Attend the UTC New England Regional Competition! Experience the excitement, the adrenaline, the competition! Although you may have been to numerous sporting events before, FIRST cannot compare. With all the adrenaline, the fast-paced, action-filled competitions, cheerleaders, team spirit, and loud music of a conventional sports game, but even better; FIRST competitions are THREE DAYS LONG! If you wish to attend (which we encourage everyone to attend!) then either attend our next meeting (preferred option) on Tuesday, March 8, Room 59, Platt High School, 6:30 PM to 9 PM or you can drive up yourself on Friday March 11 or Saturday March 12 to the Meadows Music Center. Competition hours are roughly 9:30 AM to 6 PM both days and there is FREE Admission! And be sure to wear lots of orange!
